<description>I&#039;m not prepared to wait until the figures are in, and it is a good thing that the policy makers are not waiting either.
If you want to take a big picture, geological time span view of the issue of global warming then whatever is happening now is just a slight upward blip in a long term cooling trend.
The policy makers have correctly said, there is evidence of some global warming, it may be a trend, but the worst case scenario will occur if global warming is true, and we do not prepare for it.

<description>What can I say Graham?I challenged the CO2 debate on what I had learned from my own school science experience. The fossil fuels we now burn are the result of animals and plants taking the sun&#039;s energy and separating carbon from oxygen.During the Carboniferous Period life thrived, yet the climate change theologists take a brief history in our climatic history and apply a theory of doom based on worst case scenarios. This is not science.
You are a Climate Change heretic Graham Young, and Bob Brown,Peter Garrett and the Greens will have you inturned in their chasm of silence should you ever have the audacity to again, question their authority.
Bob Carter takes a longer look at our climatic history, but this is not trendy or scarey enough for our drama queens of the media to ectch out a living on the back of our fears.
I&#039;m really disappointed with the Coalition who have buckled to the tears of the bleeding heart trendy left.
Labor signing Kyoto was not a courageous or insightful intellectual experience. It was the only feel good lever Labor could pull, without suffering the consequences of their own incompetence.
