If you want to take a big picture, geological time span view of the issue of global warming then whatever is happening now is just a slight upward blip in a long term cooling trend. The policy makers have correctly said, there is evidence of some global warming, it may be a trend, but the worst case scenario will occur if global warming is true, and we do not prepare for it. I’m not prepared to wait until the figures are in, and it is a good thing that the policy makers are not waiting either.

Bob Carter takes a longer look at our climatic history, but this is not trendy or scarey enough for our drama queens of the media to ectch out a living on the back of our fears. I'm really disappointed with the Coalition who have buckled to the tears of the bleeding heart trendy left. Labor signing Kyoto was not a courageous or insightful intellectual experience.It was the only feel good lever Labor could pull,without suffering the consequences of their own incompetence.
